queerness is something you do. it is active rebellion against gender and sexuality.

gender and sexuality are not innate parts of being human. they are tools of an oppressive society, designed to keep us in boxes and in line. to be queer is to destroy them.

housefire is queer and housefire is anarchist. it is in opposition to all ideas of a gender binary (or spectrum or circle or whatever other liberal notion people r clinging to), to the idea of static, unchanging sexuality, and to the domination that these ideas enforce. it is a place for music from anyone who fights against that kinda domiantion.

queerness is very underrepresented in the netlabel space. so this aims to be a netlabel thats not just 'accepting' of queerness but actively partakes in it. if ur queer and these ideas resonate w u ur shit is welcome.
